Americans sure are lucky to have a wise old sage like Dick Cheney who is willing to teach the citizens about how their lives should be conducted. Still flogging the disastrous Social Security dismantlement program he and Chimpie have created, Cheney is bemoaning the savings rate of Americans. Dick apparently has discovered a problem with the aging baby boomer's coming demands on Medicare and Social Security along with the overall decrease in the worker/retiree ratio.

"The American dream begins with saving money and that should begin on the very first day of work," Cheney told a conference here exploring how to encourage people to boost savings and be better prepared for retirement. Too often, workers are living paycheck to paycheck and are not saving sufficiently, Cheney said.

"With an aging population, and a steadily falling ratio of workers to retirees, the system is on a course to eventual bankruptcy," the vice president said. "There will always be a wagon load of excuses for ignoring the problem of entitlements," Cheney said. "But Americans have a right to expect more out of the nation's leaders, especially when it comes to Social Security and other defining national promises."

Cheney and Chimpie are following the same playbook with this scare as they did with Iraq, they're just repackaging the 'mushroom cloud' for a domestic policy concern. As their record indicates, anything they say, whether related to domestic or international issues, cannot be believed. Both Bush and Cheney come from the same cut of cloth, they hate government – therefore they are totally unfit for governing.
