What country do you live in?
It’s amazing to see how a country responds to tragedy. Saving lives, rescuing people caught in dire situations, providing food supplies, easing dislocation anxieties, enabling medical care, helping with temporary housing, these are all hallmarks of a great country. America has responded with lightning speed to the earthquake disaster in Pakistan. The quake struck on Oct 8, and the Bush administration leapt into action. Responding to the crisis on the same day and the day after, America helped truly needy Pakistani victims. Maybe New Orleans should have been located half a world away also?
