Harriet Miers - Arrogant abuse of political supporters
With the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court, Bush has once again shown a belief that cronyism is divine. He has dissed his political base by appointing a blank slate candidate. This has caused the conservatives severe apoplexy, as they do not know if she will help overturn Roe v Wade, nor do they know if she is a “strict constructionist”.
A great deal of glee is evident in the country as we hear conservatives attacking each other – or see them compare her to white men – or see them almost start hyperventilating and crying (George Will this morning on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stepanopoulos).
