Greed kills
Reprising a previous post, there should be no tears shed for convicted US Rep. Randy Cunningham. His blatant hypocrisy of speaking patriotic while demanding bribe money in exchange for votes has sold out his district, his nation, and may have resulted in contributing to unnecessary deaths in Iraq. His confession of steering defense contracts to companies that paid him bribes included a company that was charged with developing methodologies for increasing protection of our soldiers from the devastating effects of improvised explosive devices (IED's).
Does anyone think that a company who truly had a better way to protect our citizens lives would need to bribe someone to ensure they got the contract? By enabling a sub-class company to capture this contract, Cunningham may have caused the death and dismemberment of some troops. Ten years in prison is not enough time for his malfeasance.
