Utmost sickness

The Communists used to be the scourge of the planet. Expending billions of dollars and many thousands of lives fighting them, we won our battle, ably serving the interests of the worldwide community. This was a war America should still celebrate winning. Why are we acting like Communists by adopting their torture techniques?
