Broken justice
After Innocence is a documentary film that follows the lives of seven recently exonerated convicts as they try to readjust into society after many years in prison. The men were freed using methodologies pioneered by the Innocence Project, a legal nonprofit founded in 1992 by lawyers Barry C. Sheck and Peter J. Neufeld. Their efforts have resulted in the release of over 150 innocent people largely by the use of DNA evidence.
The stories painted of our unjust and flawed legal system are not pretty. If this film does not generate a thought in people's minds that the death penalty should never be applied, then people are not using the heads God gave them.
