US Secretary of State will apparently tell our friends to “back off” in their criticism of reported American torture at secret CIA prisons in Europe. Irish Foreign Minister Dermot Ahern said Rice told him in Washington she expected allies to trust that America does not allow rights abuses -- a sign she will avoid giving Europe a detailed response on secret U.S. intelligence torture. She also refused to give Ahern a personal assurance Ireland has not been used for secret prisoner transfers.
Just trust us, just trust us - the problem is Bush's administration does not deserve trust - as they have proven time and time again. With an attitude of “we'll do what we want, when we want, and we'll do it in your backyard if we want to,” this neocon cabal is a disgraceful stain on America.
