Scurrying Away

Now that Jack Abramoff, the once all powerful lobbyist at the center of a huge public corruption scandal has pleaded guilty to fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy to bribe public officials, it's great theater to watch all the rats running from the ship. This includes our friend Chimpie.

Georgie's minions are now trying to round up and identify all the photos that may show Bush with Abramoff so that they can develop the proper “spin” on each. Bush cabal members have obtained from the Secret Service a list of all the times Abramoff entered the White House complex, scrambling to determine the reason for each visit. Press Toadie Scott McClellan said Abramoff might have attended large gatherings with Bush but, “The President does not know him, nor does the President recall ever meeting him.”
